Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. About this policy
This policy explains what personal data JobMojo collects, why we collect it, who sees it, and the control you have over it. It applies to jobmojo.ai, app.jobmojo.ai, our mobile applications, and any service that links to this policy (together, the “Platform”).
JobMojo is a product of Innova Amtech Pvt. Ltd., D-108, Sector-63, Noida, India(“JobMojo”, “we”, “us”). For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
JobMojo is a talent marketplace. Candidates use it to find roles that fit their skills; employers and recruiters use it to find candidates who fit their roles. Where you have the choice, we ask for your consent in plain words at the point of collection, and you can withdraw it at any time (see section 8). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Platform. The table shows what we collect and where it comes from.
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account details | Name, email address, mobile number, password (stored hashed), login method | You |
| Profile and career details | Resume or CV, work history, education, skills, certifications, compensation and notice period, location and relocation preferences | You, or your uploaded resume |
| Activity on the Platform | Jobs viewed, searched, saved and applied to; match scores; free applications and credits used | Generated as you use the Platform |
| Device and usage data | IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring page, approximate location from IP | Collected automatically |
| Payment details | Transaction reference, amount, date and status. Card and bank details are handled by our payment partner and never stored by us | You and the payment provider |
| Support communications | Messages, queries and feedback you send us | You |
| Job listings | Public job postings gathered from employer career pages, job boards and other public internet sources | Public sources |
Information about other people. If you add a referee or any other person’s details, you must have their permission to do so.
Sensitive details. We do not ask for caste, religion, health information, political views, biometric data or government identification numbers, and we ask you not to put them in your resume or profile. A resume is free text, so if you choose to include them, you are responsible for that choice.
Third-party sign-in and public sources. If you sign in with a third-party account, we receive the profile information you authorise that service to share. Job listings gathered from public sources may name an employer’s contact person; we use that only to display the listing.
3. How we use your information
We use personal data only for purposes we can explain to you. For each purpose below, our basis is either your consent, or one of the limited “legitimate uses” the DPDP Act permits, such as performing the service you asked for or complying with the law.
- Provide the service. Create and secure your account, build your profile, score your resume, show you jobs, submit your applications, and let employers find and contact you.
- Match candidates and roles. Compare the skills in a profile with the skills a job requires, and rank results (section 4).
- Communicate with you. Send job alerts, application confirmations, security notices, receipts and service updates. We send marketing only where you have opted in, and every marketing message carries an unsubscribe option.
- Process payments and credits. Record purchases of application credits, apply the free monthly allowance and prevent misuse.
- Improve the Platform. Analyse usage, fix faults and test new features, using de-identified or aggregated data wherever that is practical.
- Keep the Platform safe. Detect fake profiles, fraudulent job postings, spam and other misuse, and enforce our terms.
- Meet legal obligations. Respond to lawful requests from courts and authorities, and keep records the law requires.
We will not sell your personal data. We do not permit the AI providers that process your resume for us to train their models on it, and we will not use your data for a new purpose without telling you first and, where the law requires, asking for your consent again.
4. Skill matching and automated processing
JobMojo’s matching engine reads the skills, experience and preferences in a profile and compares them with the requirements of a job. It produces a match score that decides how jobs and candidates are ranked and displayed. Parts of this, such as reading a resume and extracting skills, are done by AI language models run by our service providers (section 5).
The score is a ranking aid, not a verdict. It does not by itself accept or reject any application, and no employer decision is taken solely by the engine. Employers and recruiters review candidates themselves and may use their own criteria.
Matching can be imperfect. A score may reflect how a resume is written as much as what a person can do, and we work to reduce that effect. You can improve your results by keeping your profile accurate and specific. If you believe a score or ranking is wrong, write to us at the address in section 10 and we will review it.
We do not use protected characteristics such as gender, religion, caste, age or marital status as matching inputs, and we ask employers not to filter on them.
5. Who sees your profile, and who we share with
Employers and recruiters. When you apply to a job, we send your application and profile to the employer or recruiter who posted it. Verified employers and recruiters on the Platform may also find candidate profiles. To have your profile hidden from employer search, write to us at the address in section 10 and we will do it.
Job listings from public sources. Many listings on the Platform are gathered from employers’ career pages and other public sources, not posted by employers directly with us. Where you apply to such a listing, we may pass your application to the employer or the source site, or direct you there to complete it. We cannot guarantee that every employer will acknowledge an application or provide a status update.
Service providers. We share data with providers who work for us and only for the purposes described here:
- Cloud hosting and storage — Cloudflare, Supabase, Google Cloud (including storage of uploaded resumes)
- AI processing — resume parsing, skill extraction and scoring through OpenRouter and the language models it routes to, such as Google Gemini
- Email delivery — Resend
- Payment processing — Razorpay
- Bot protection — Cloudflare Turnstile
- Analytics — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
- Company and job research — web search and crawling services that process public information, not your personal data
Legal and safety. We disclose data where required by law, court order or a competent authority, or where needed to protect the rights, safety or property of users, the public or JobMojo.
Business changes. If JobMojo is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may transfer to the successor, which will be bound by this policy or must tell you before any change.
Aggregated data. We may share statistics that cannot identify you, for example salary trends or skills demand.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your settings, understand how the Platform is used and keep it secure.
| Type | Purpose | Can you switch it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keep you signed in, protect forms from bots, keep the Platform secure | No — the Platform will not work without them |
| Analytics | Measure traffic and feature use (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity — which may record how you interact with pages, with form inputs masked) | Yes — block them in your browser, or use a tracker blocker |
Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Platform work. We do not currently run advertising or marketing cookies; if that changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
7. Retention, security and cross-border transfers
Retention. We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purposes above or the law requires. An active account is kept while you use the Platform. If you ask us to delete your account, we erase or anonymise your profile within 30 days, except for records we must keep, such as payment and tax records, which we keep for the period the law requires. Data already sent to an employer sits under that employer’s own policies, and we cannot recall it.
Security. We use encryption in transit, access controls limited to staff who need the data, and logging and monitoring. No online system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse of your account. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Where data is stored. Our database is hosted in Singapore, and uploaded resumes and some processing run on Google Cloud and Cloudflare infrastructure in India and elsewhere. This means your data is transferred outside India. We transfer data only to countries and providers permitted under Indian law and require them to protect it to a standard consistent with this policy.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data. Most profile data you can edit yourself in your account.
- Erase your data when it is no longer needed or when you withdraw consent, subject to legal retention duties.
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it, and may mean we can no longer provide some features.
- Seek grievance redressal through the process in section 10.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.
To exercise any right, write to us at admin@jobmojo.ai. We may ask you to verify your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational for this purpose.
9. Children, third-party links, payments and credits
Children. The Platform is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has registered, please tell us.
Third-party links. The Platform links to employer sites and other third-party services. We do not control their privacy practices and this policy does not cover them. Please read their policies before sharing data.
Payments and credits. Candidates receive a limited number of free applications each month and may buy credits for more. Payments are processed by our payment provider under its own privacy terms. We keep a record of the transaction and credit balance, but not your full card or bank details.
10. Changes, grievance officer and contact
Changes. We may update this policy as the Platform or the law changes. We will post the new version here with a revised date, and for material changes we will notify you by email or in the Platform before they take effect.
