Staff Data Engineer

The organization is seeking a Staff Engineer to design and build its Data & Analytics Platform from the ground up. This is a high-ownership role where the individual will serve as the technical owner of a system that supports all product data ingestion, replication, and customer-facing analytics. Responsibilities: - Design and build a high-throughput event ingestion API in Go that handles validation, automatic table creation, and schema evolution - Develop CDC pipelines using Debezium and Kafka to mirror transactional databases into the analytics store - Create a multi-tenant query API with strict RBAC, per-tenant isolation, and query budgets - Manage the operational backbone, including ClickHouse cluster design and capacity planning Qualifications: - 5+ years of backend or data-platform engineering experience - Track record of building 0-to-1 platforms that other engineering teams depend on - Experience with ClickHouse in production at scale, including sharding and replication - Proficiency in Golang for high-throughput backend services
